Henry Park Prelim 2019 Q 17

.

Every 3 tiles = 1 circle.

Area of circle = 22/7 x 14 x 14 = 616 cm2

5.2m = 520 cm

520/60 = 8 2/3

3.6m = 360 cm

360/20 = 18

18 x 8 = 144

144 x 616 cm2 = 88 704 cm2

remaining 2 tiles = 3/4 circle

18 x  3/4 x 616 cm2 = 8 316 cm2

 88 704 cm2 + 8 316 cm2 = 97 020 cm2
